She Broke her grandmothers vase and sat with the pieces in her hand.  Desolate, how could she repair this? She remembered the Japanese art of repair, Kintsugi: the process of using gold lacquer to piece shards together. 

She loved that the break and it's repair with gold could make the vase more beautiful.

I didn't do art at school; didn't believe I had that talent. I learned this story was not true in the early 1990's and have been creating art ever since.

In 2019I started a 100-day project which took my art practice to a new level of discipline and meant I had to show up every day with purpose. I enjoy humble subjects, simple items and things from our homes, and the world. In 2020 I started telling the story. In 2023 there came a book. My passion is storytelling through words and images.
