She was aware of the lack of plans but was not concerned. The old her would have rushed about filling the void. No, she said aloud. It is okay to be here alone, I’ll do some nice things. She pottered in the house, fiddling and making vague tidying motions, she went into the garden and dug holes, and raked areas and made improvements outside. She filled her weekend with good food, movies, and sleeps and reading. By the end of the weekend, she was calm and satisfied with her self-love, her accomplishments, and the level of relaxation. Tea for me demands the self-love she is practicing. It demands treating yourself and revelling in the specialness of the everyday.
